(modern-AU) Enjolras and Grantaire’s first kiss is barely a kiss; it happens during a quiet moment after a non-quite argument. Enjolras leans before he can think about it, and Grantaire just watches him and doesn’t move because he’s not sure he can. When their faces are so close to each other that their noses are touching, Enjolras stops for a second, and they look into each other’s eyes and they barely dare to breathe. 

And Enjolras presses his lips against Grantaire, softly, so softly that it feels like the lightest of caresses, and then presses his cheek against Grantaire’s, and Grantaire lets out a shaky breath, and his fingers goes to grab Enjolras’s hand but touches his wrist instead. Enjolras closes his eyes. He whispers; “I want to be with you all the time, these days.”

Grantaire laughs a bit, and Enjolras smiles against his cheek and put his other hand on Grantaire’s neck. When their lips meet again, there is nothing gentle or careful about it. It’s very nice.
