Ah, see, that’s another good point, too. If I were Crystal I wouldn’t have felt closure in Allison merely leaving, because it’s not like the character to do such a thing – having her die in the way that she did means that her story-arc is complete, that she died saving someone she cared about (which is very Allison) and in the arms of someone who loved her, and there’s, like you said, not a way of her possibly coming back (and maybe ruining the character by bringing her back).
People in fandoms seem to just jump to the worst ways of processing things, I’ve realised, so I’m just going to ignore anything wanky that I see on the matter. I like what they did with it (though, yeah, I’m so sad because I loved the character), it felt right to me, and it obviously felt right to Crystal, too.
